When people tee up for a good cause, fantastic things can happen – both on and off the course. On Thursday 2nd October, industry colleagues and customers of Think B2B Marketing gathered at West Midlands Golf Club in Solihull for a Golf Day in support of the Luke Hart Foundation, on a day that proved to be above par in every sense.
With a shotgun start at 10am, players took to the greens under crisp autumn skies, competing for individual prizes while raising funds for Cancer Research UK, one of the Luke Hart Foundation’s supported charities. By the final putt, the event had driven home an impressive £4,500 – a wonderful testament to the generosity and spirit of everyone involved.
The day was made all the more special by a moving speech from Joanna Stephenson, Managing Director of Think B2B Marketing and a close friend of Luke and the Hart family. For many in attendance, it was their first introduction to Luke’s story and the work of the Luke Hart Foundation, yet the support and generosity shown by guests was nothing short of incredible.
Joanna said: “Luke was the kind of person who made everyone around him better; in work, in life, and in the way he faced every challenge with such grace and determination. The Hart family means the world to us, and seeing so many guests engage with the Foundation and share in our admiration for their incredible strength was truly moving. This is exactly what Luke would have wanted – people connecting, supporting one another, and making a real difference.”
Following 18 holes of friendly competition, guests enjoyed a three-course meal in the club’s main restaurant before the prize-giving and raffle brought proceedings to a close. The atmosphere throughout was one of camaraderie, laughter, and purpose. In short, exactly the kind of day Luke would have loved.
