On 1st October 2026, the Think B2B Marketing Charity Golf Day returned to West Midlands Golf Club, and what a day it turned out to be! With the sun shining from first tee to final putt, around 40 golfers, many from the print and packaging industry, took to the course to play their part in Luke’s legacy.
Snacks and drinks were served out on the course to keep everyone going, and after the final round, players gathered for a three-course lunch followed by speeches and a raffle. A special highlight was a talk from Gill Burgess of Cancer Research UK, who explained how every pound raised in Luke’s name helps power the research and development that is changing the outlook for people living with cancer. It was a powerful and emotional reminder of why days like this matter so much, and to so many people.
There was plenty of friendly competition throughout the day, along with plenty of laughter and a lot of camaraderie.
Most importantly, the day raised £2,250.00 (including Gift Aid) for Cancer Research UK. Everyone left saying what a fabulous day it had been, and plenty were already looking forward to next year’s tee-off.
This brings the Luke Hart Foundation’s grand total to an incredible £228,084.71, and that quarter-of-a-million milestone is edging ever closer. Our sincere thanks go to everyone who played, donated, sponsored, organised and helped out on the day. Luke loved bringing people together, and he would have been so proud to see a day like this held in his name.
