On Saturday 16th May 2026, Codham Park Equestrian in Essex will play host to something rather special, a charity show jumping event in aid of the Luke Hart Foundation.
Martha Sparrow will take the reins to organise and run the event, which will raise vital funds for cancer research in memory of Luke.
Codham Park is a wonderful setting for it. Located near Braintree in Essex, it’s one of the finest equestrian venues in the county, with multiple arenas and a well-earned reputation for hosting everything from affiliated league competitions to cross-country challenges. It’s a place where horse and rider push themselves, which feels entirely fitting for a challenge carried out in Luke’s name.
Luke was a man who believed in giving everything. The foundation built in his memory carries that same spirit forward, through every run, every ride, and every mile covered in his honour.
If you’d like to support the event, please consider making a donation to the Luke Hart Foundation. Every contribution, however large or small, goes towards funding vital cancer research and support services for those who need them most.
Could Your Business Help Make This Day Extra Special?
Martha is looking for local businesses to get involved and help make the 16th May a day to remember. Individual class sponsorship is available at £150 per class, which covers the cost of prizes and rosettes, with your business named as class sponsor and promoted throughout the event, including announcements on the day and coverage across Codham Park’s social media channels before and after the show. If a full class sponsorship isn’t quite right for you, raffle prizes and general donations are equally welcome and will be gratefully acknowledged on the day.
Every contribution, whatever its size, goes directly to Cancer Research UK. If you’d like to get involved, please contact Martha on 07787289355.
