Maisie & Jack take on HYROX in Stockholm for Luke

On Saturday 20th December 2025, Maisie Watkins and Jack Dixon will travel to Stockholm, Sweden, to compete in one of the world’s toughest endurance fitness events: HYROX.

Not only is it an intense physical challenge, it’s a tribute to a much-missed friend in support of The Luke Hart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.

For Maisie, this challenge is particularly personal. She grew up side-by-side with the Hart family, surrounded by the laughter, love, and loyalty that defined Luke’s world.

“Luke was one of the bravest, kindest and most generous people I’ve ever known,” she says. “Growing up with the Harts shaped me in ways I’ll always be grateful for. This challenge is my way of giving back, of showing what Luke, and this inspiring family, means to mine.”

Maisie describes Luke’s daughter Ruby as ‘a sister in every way,’ and speaks with heartfelt admiration for the strength shown by the whole family, especially through the toughest days of their lives. As the Luke Hart Foundation, established by Luke’s wife and children, continues to raise funding for key cancer charities, the Harts’ grace, courage and positivity prove a constant source of inspiration.

Though Jack never had the chance to meet Luke, he’s heard countless stories of a man who instantly lit up every room, who cared deeply for others, and who faced his cancer diagnosis with astonishing strength. Jack said: “It’s an honour to be fundraising in Luke’s memory and standing beside Maisie and the Harts in one of his favourite places, Stockholm.”

HYROX is no easy feat. It combines 8 punishing rounds of 1km runs with 8 intense workout stations, which require sled pushes, rowing, sandbag lunges, burpee broad jumps, and more, all in one continuous, timed race.

Luke showed the world and those around him what it means to be strong. Not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, and in the quieter moments when no one’s watching. This challenge is for him and for the lives he touched, and for the future we all want to see – one with better outcomes, better treatments, and more hope for those facing their own cancer battles.

Every step, every rep and every breath – for Luke.
