They did it! On Sunday 26th April, Sam Hart, Amelia Bird and Ethan Taylor ran 26.2 miles through the heart of London, and every single step was for Luke.
After months of early mornings, gruelling training runs and sheer determination, the three of them crossed that finish line, greeted by a crowd of friends and family cheering them home. And then, quite rightly, they went for a very well-deserved drink.
The result of their effort is a staggering total of £19,005.00 for Cancer Research UK, through the Luke Hart Foundation. To say we’re proud doesn’t come close.
For Luke’s son Sam, this was always about more than a race. It was about honouring his dad, a man who faced the toughest of challenges with strength, humour and grace, and carrying that spirit through every mile of one of the world’s most iconic sporting events. Amelia and Ethan ran with that same fire in their hearts, and together the three of them gave everything. This incredible achievement brings the Luke Hart Foundation’s total raised to £213,974.93.
Every pound brings us closer to something extraordinary, and to that quarter of a million milestone that Luke’s legacy is carrying us towards.
We are so immensely grateful to Sam, Amelia and Ethan, and to every single person who donated, cheered, shared, and believed. You are all part of this.
If you’d like to add to their total, there’s still time. Every donation, no matter how large or how small, makes a difference. Donate to Sam, Amelia and Ethan’s fundraiser here
